Just look at that hair! My time in Chicago brought upon the one year mark since I cut my hair. Why you might ask? Well, it was just a feat I have never conquered before and I felt I absolutely had to get out of my system before I got too serious with a career and so on (who am I kidding? Me? SERIOUS?!) Official hair cut dates:

Hair cut on December 16, 2007
Hair not cut again until December 22, 2008

But Chicago was more than just hair; going from never having seen Chicago to MOVING to Chicago was quite the accomplishment in a above itself. was my saving grace to find a place to live for a short three months, but my roommate Allan is the one who deserves all my thanks. Quite the character, Allan was my personal tour guide to Chicago and origin of thousands of stories.

Draft FCB was full of fun and wonderful people, and the best part was the fact that they all could speak English! (Not like that was a problem in Germany, but at least I could participate in meetings!) I was involved and worked with Hampton Inns and their International launch in Corby, England; K-mart and their spring TV spots; BlueCross BlueShield advertising for new, more user-friendly insurance policies; Herradura tequila; and many "in-house" project and event posters.

My team partner and copywriter during this internship was the delightful and charming Samira. From India, Samira brought many fun, creative, and unique ideas to the table. This was her eighth and final quarter with Miami Ad School and went back home to India after she graduated for a little break and to see her family. Last I heard she's back in the states in the New York area. We tackled the Nair and Ace ambient campaigns found in my . Samira's grabbing the stubbly railing in the Nair campaign.
